This depends on the moisture within the building, and ventilation available.
Old Buildings, for example, can store quite a lot of moisture, so carpets can take 4-8 hours to dry.
Newer buildings on the other hand, or those with good ventilation, take less time to dry.

Please note: The carpets are perfectly safe in most cases to be used straight after cleaning (sometimes with H&S signage) whilst in some cases, we may need to develop a more robust plan, to ensure the least disruption for people using the facilities.
